REAL ID Requirements

Brothers & Sisters,

Starting on May 7, 2025, a REAL ID will be required to gain access to a nuclear facility, pass a TSA security checkpoint, and to enter a federal facility.

The following forms of identification will be accepted in place of a REAL ID to enter a nuclear facility:

1)  U.S. passport

2)  U.S. passport card

3)  U.S. Department of Defense ID

4)  Transportation worker identification credential (TWIC card)

Those members who wish to work in a nuclear facility in the future must obtain a REAL ID or another acceptable form of ID before the deadline. There will be no more extensions or exceptions permitted by the federal government.
